Apart from the noise the first night (see comment below) the room was great and the buffet breakfast was decent. The staff were very helpful and took care of any requests. We drove from Catania and there was parking a few blocks away in a public lot which was very much appreciated. The parking ticket system was crap and only one machine worked out of 5 or 6 machines, but I can't blame the hotel for that :-)

The rooms are spacious, high ceilings, lovely bed, good air con. Lovely small balcony. The breakfast is very good and the little courtyard setting is idyllic for breakfast. There is always someone at reception too. I did see a review saying coffee wasn't great but we loved it. The choice at the breakfast buffet will suit all. We had teenagers with us too. The staff are lovely though, a real family feel to the stay. There are lovely little swimming spots around Syracuse and we tried all of them! The town is truly beautiful.

The location was terrific, midway between Ortigia and the train station. The bed was comfortable as were the pillows. We enjoyed the opportunity to indulge in a spa bath.

The hotel facilities are very beautiful and located very close to a good parking lot in the city. We arrived before the check in time and the staff was very friendly and took it to our room when it was ready. The breakfast included many local foods, all labeled, which was very nice.

The hotel was excellent. We decided not to stay on Ortigia itself but the hotel was a x5 minute walk to the island & situated in a very nice part of Siracusa. The walk from the train station to the hotel with our luggage was 10-15 minutes, very easy. Our quadruple room was spacious with comfortable beds & excellent air-conditioning. Everything is spotlessly clean. The fresh complimentary lemon granita in the lounge area is very welcome & the hotel has a lovely lobby & outside courtyard, as well as an outside seating area in front of the entrance. We were particularly impressed with the breakfast & it being served from 7.00am-10.30am made it relaxing & enjoyable. You can eat inside or outside in the courtyard, lovely. The selection of food is excellent with bacon, scrambled eggs, cold meats being continuously refreshed. Our breakfast coffees were made on demand, no vending machines. There is fresh fruit, cereals, toast, pastries...a very generous selection with plenty of friendly & welcoming staff on hand to assist. I would highly recommend the hotel.....the staff are professional & friendly and for us, being near but not in Ortigia, with its many tourists, was ideal.

The location was perfect - 10 minute walk into Ortigia, cafes and restaurants on our doorstep. Charming helpful staff, lovely spacious room. The best gratis granita! We didn’t want to leave.

The hotel was very central, just outside of Oritigia - a short walking distance away. The breakfast each morning included a Sicilian Granite and Brioche amongst the regular cold meats, pastries, bread, cheeses, fruit and yogurt. It was also one of the few hotels which offered eggs with breakfast. Our room was large and spacious, staff were really friendly and helpful and the room was clean. Would recommend

Location of the hotel is perfect, a few minutes away from Ortigia island. The interbus station is also 7-8 minutes by walking. There are plenty of shops and restaurants around the hotel. Staff was very polite and helpful. We arrived early in the morning and they provided us with complimentary early check-in as our room was ready. Breakfast is very nice as well. Great variety of pastries, fruits, cheeses and Italian charcuterie.

Lovely hotel halfway between Siracusa Station and Ortigia Island, less than ten minutes walk from both. Staff friendly and helpful, rooms big (we were upgraded) and airy, bathrooms excellent. Breakfast superb, in a spacious undercroft.

I really love this place's location with just outside the island, which made it easy access for Taxi, but a three-minute walk and you're in the old part of Siracusa. The rooms were huge, well-decorated, and spotlessly clean, with great bathrooms. The staff were so helpful. Friendly breakfast was good. I really found nothing bad about this place. I really enjoyed my stay here.
